Equipment description

The Hok are ski‑snowshoes designed for easy backcountry travel. Short, wide, and highly maneuverable, they blend the simplicity of snowshoes with the glide of skis. The integrated climbing skin provides excellent traction uphill, while the balanced glide surface helps control speed on descents.

Made from paulownia wood, natural fibers, and fiberglass, they are lightweight, durable, and designed with a reduced environmental footprint. Metal edges add stability and control, even on firm snow.

Bindings

The Hok uses 75 mm extended‑standard inserts, compatible with 3‑pin 75 mm bindings as well as universal bindings. An adapter plate is also available for NNN BC and Salomon BC bindings.

Sizes

  1. 125 cm — very maneuverable, ideal as a snowshoe substitute, great for beginners and dense forest terrain.
  2. 145 cm — more “ski‑like,” offering better glide and flotation in deep snow, suited for descents and heavier users.
  3. 99 cm (Balla Hok) — children’s version.
